After the episode 4 of Game Of Thrones (GoT) Season 7 got leaked online, which is to be shown on HBO on August 6, hackers have now threatened to leak additional content this Sunday at 12 GMT (5 p.m. IST), yet again.
The online leak of episode 4 of season 7 has been self-described as ‘the greatest leak’ of the digital era. HBO suffered huge losses as people downloaded and shared the clip with friends on various social media platforms.
In an automated reply to Variety, the hackers wrote that they will be gradually increasing the leak in the upcoming weeks. The group also claimed that it had obtained a total of 1.5TB of data when it broke into HBO’s computer networks.
Earlier this week, HBO President and CEO Richard Plepler said, ‘’At this time, we do not believe that our email system as a whole has been compromised, but the forensic review is ongoing.’’
Besides GoT, the hacker group also leaked unreleased episodes of Ballers and Room 104 of HBO, after which the TV network started an investigation in the matter.
Game of Thrones season 7 can be streamed on Hotstar every Monday at 7.30 am and is telecast on Star World every Tuesday night at 11 pm.
